WDS and DHCP on the Same Server

Shortest blog ever: don’t do it.

Ok, so it’s not horrible if you do, but it’s not recommended. If you do put WDS on the same server as DHCP, make sure the Server Option in DHCP is set properly (option 60) to PXEClient and options 66 and 67 are not configured.

“Show me an easy way, Jesse,” you say? Run this command:

wdsutil /set-server /UseDHCPPorts:No /DHCPOption60:Yes
