Troubleshooting Driver Import and Distribution Errors

If you play enough with SCCM, you will inevitably run into issues with importing drivers. The error messages, however, are typically vague, so knowing where to look for helpful hints is key. For example, here as a fun little error code I saw recently:


Cool. That’s recognizable…not. (Yes, I worked in a “not” joke!)

The best place to search for information is the dism.log, found in C:\Windows\Logs on the site server:


As you can see, someone (not me…no, seriously) moved the location of the drivers. I’m sure it’s documented somewhere, though…not. (YES!!!)
